Westward is a great strategy game a la Age of Empires in which you have to set up a camp, harvest resources and build a community. After you get familiar with the game, you will have to houses and camps to accommodate your growing population, while gold mines, lumberyards, and farms can help speed up your resource collection. You will have various missions while reviving the story of early Americans searching for prosperity and happiness. However, you also have to deal with bandits who will appear in your town and begin to destroy buildings by hiring gunslingers. The game features good graphics and sound effects and suitable music. It includes 20 challenging levels and you can have access to 10 playable main characters and more than 25 unique buildings to create your colony. The characters are controlled easily by clicking and dragging them wherever you want and the structures are built by simply clicking on them at the bottom of the screen. Westward is a fun and challenging western game that will keep you entertained for hours and it definitely deserves a try. It supports Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
